Buffalo Afrobeat Orchestra (BUFFALO, NY) 

BAO is a diverse 16 piece ensemble comprised of members from many other area bands including One World Tribe, Outer Circle Orchestra, The Rockaz, 12/8 Path Band, Folkfaces and many more. A movement of the people, BAO is revitalizing Afrobeat music in WNY and beyond. Afrobeat, with it's heavy rhythm, trance-like groove, powerful melodies, and cutting lyrics, is so moving that even a statue would be dancing by the end of a concert! And as it was a vehicle for the movement and voices of many West African people for decades, so shall it be in Western New York!
